Pillar

How the next decade actually feels

Longevity is not an exotic intervention. It is mostly sleep, strength, cardiorespiratory fitness and recovery, done consistently, and measured well enough to know whether it is working.

The picture

What this looks like in practice

What people describe

Recovery that takes longer than it used to. Sleep that is long enough on paper but does not restore. A sense of wanting to get ahead of decline rather than react to it.

Why it is worth measuring

The inputs with the strongest evidence behind them are unglamorous and easy to neglect. Measuring turns them from good intentions into something you can actually steer.

What care looks like

An honest look at sleep, training load, recovery and the markers that track healthy aging, then a plan that fits your life rather than an idealised one. Consistency beats intensity here, and a plan you abandon is worth nothing.

The evidence

What the literature supports

  • Cardiorespiratory fitness shows a strong, graded inverse association with long term mortality in large cohort work.1
  • Short and disrupted sleep is associated with worse cardiometabolic outcomes across large populations, and sleep is among the more modifiable inputs.2
  • Muscle strength and lean mass are closely linked to physical function and independence in later life, and both respond to training at any age.3

FAQ

Common questions

Is there a magic intervention?

No, and anyone selling one is worth being sceptical about. The evidence keeps pointing at sleep, strength, cardiorespiratory fitness, nutrition and not smoking. The hard part is doing them, not finding them.

Do you sell supplements?

We are not building a supplement shop. If something is worth taking, your clinician will tell you, and if it is not, they will tell you that too.

How long before I notice anything?

It varies by person and by what is being worked on, and we are not going to invent a timeline to make the pitch better. Your clinician will tell you what is reasonable to expect for your situation.
